Massages at the Wellness Center are structured around the need of each individual person, incorporating the appropriate stroke and application to best benefit an individual’s needs. Massages are in 15 minute intervals from 15 minutes to 90 minutes and based on time are from area specific to full body. Massages are preformed either as a chair massage or table massage depending on the region to be addressed and patient comfort. They help to relax muscles and increases the movement of the body systemic fluids, massage will also aid the body in healing by moving fluids and clearing “debris” that clogs the systems. Massage is no longer a luxury, but a necessity to aid the body in releasing stress/tension and promoting quicker healing. Combined with Chiropractic Care we find our patients recover quicker by addressing the spine, nerves and muscles as a comprehensive program. Whether you chose to do a massage with another treatment or on its own you will get great benefit.

Types Of Massage Offered:

Swedish – As Mark F Beck defines, “the Swedish system is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology and employs the traditional manipulative techniques of effleurage, petrissage, vibration, friction and tapotement. The Swedish system also employs movements that can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, according to the results that the practitioner wishes to achieve.” (19)

Deep Tissue Massage – Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Our massage therapist uses continuous strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle to help break up deep tension.

Pregnancy Massage – Pregnancy massage Prenatal massage is becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers. Our licensed massage therapist focuses on the expectant mothers most discomforted areas, including but not limited to the abdomen, back, hips, and feet, keeping in mind the added needs to keep the balance for the fetus.
